About the mushroom

In the winter I spend most of the time making items for my gardens the following spring. This is a mushroom, caterpillar, and ladybug that I carved out of high density foam. This is one set of two, I am working on a giant morel that will be a companion piece to this one. They will be placed in the garden together. Garden visitors will be able to take their pictures with them when they visit. His name is Bert, and his friends are Monty the caterpillar and Giz the lady bug. More to come.............Steve

Whats in a name?

It really wasn't much work to pick the name for our farm. We live on the side of a mountain, and it seems that where our property is located is the start of some big snow accumulations. The ironic thing is, I personally hate winter, and I also have Seasonal Adjustment Disorder. I had to learn to adjust to long winters here. What better way than to embrace it. The other thing that happens is snow melt off is linked to spring. Snowflakes turn into water which grows plants. So Snowbelt Farm was born..............Steve
