Things are picking up

Although we still cannot plant the majority of our plants, because the frost threat, we did manage to get 100 more cabot strawberries in the ground yesterday. Been weeding my butt off and planting dahlia tubers some 90 or so. Every year I ask why do I plant Dahlias? Then I look at past photos and remind myself why i do it. They are spectacular, but much work, as we dig them in the fall and store them.Things are looking good in the gardens, only problem so far is a return of lily leaf beetles. I have been picking them off for about a week now. I also was able to get in 100 purple asparagus roots, and another 12 cranberry bushes from Johnny's Seeds that came in looking awesome again this year.Have 20 more blueberry bushes to still plant along with 25 jewel black raspberry and 25 latham red raspberry. see ya in the garden...........Steve
